General security consulting

The internet is becoming increasingly insecure: viruses, worms, trojans, password-spying tools and manual hacker-attacks are a steadily growing threat for company-networks. The caused damages run into millions and no company with a network infrastructure is safe from such attacks.

We help our customers by performing security analyses and by creating and implementing individual security concepts. A guide on IT-security is provided by the "Bundesamt fuer Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik" (German federal agency for security in information technology): the "IT-Grundschutzhandbuch". In detail, these security measures include:

• Making the net safe by employing firewalls und intrusion detection systems
• Creation of an authentication concept, central authentication servers
• Employment of encryption technologies for secure data transfer
• Digital Signature, smart card
• VPN (Virtual Private Network)
• Virus protection
• Treatment of security incidents and anonymized transmission of information on such incidents to the responsible CERTs (Computer Emergency Response Teams)
• Consulting concerning the employment of secure software and security updates of software, Open Source Software as secure alternative
• data backup
• Consulting concerning data protection/privacy

Beyond our scope of work are hardware security mechanisms (like TCPA) and building security (fire prevention etc.)
